BMT Opens New Office in Weymouth
One of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary engineering and technology consultancies, British Maritime Technology (BMT), announced today that its subsidiary company BMT Defence Services Limited is to re-locate its Weymouth office to a larger site in the town.
The continuing growth of its business with the Ministry of Defence has seen the number of employees in the present office in Weymouth almost double.
A total of 56 employees will be moving to the new office, including Rolls Royce Marine Power and agency staff involved in the BMT contracts. The new facility will be fully operational by 10 December and has the capacity to house 75 staff.
Dr. Andrew Tyler, Managing Director of BMT Defence Services, said: “This move will help BMT to serve our clients better, provide space for expansion over the coming years and provide our staff with an excellent working environment.”
The Weymouth office provides combat systems engineering, data management and data delivery services, encompassing electronic documentation, technical authoring and illustrations, 3-D modeling and publications.
